Hungary’s first IBM AS400 computer with SAS hard disks has been installed in EuroMACC’s server park to provide outsourced billing for Invitel Inc. The new IBM AS400 (CPW: 8300/8300, 2 logical partitions, 18 x 139,7 GB store capacity, 2 x 4,2GHz IBM p6 processors, 2 x 8GB RAM, redundant power source) arrived to EuroMACC at 20th of January, the installation is till in progress. Thanks to the capacity of the new computer, the time needed for data migration has been shortened dramatically, the software environment provides faster and more reliable operation with full range data security.
